The IPL season has so far seen many new talents rising from nowhere and has made some of them a star.
When the IPL started, there were many questions surrounding the future of cricket such as:
- Will the ODI format of Cricket be still as popular as it used to be?
- Will the foreign players become used to Indian Pitches and Indians would be on the receiving end when they tour India for T20 or ODI or Test Matches?
- Will the IPL bring an end to the Test Cricket?
- Will the stars of the ODI format shine in the T20 too?
This IPL season has brought an end to all these questions.
This IPL season has helped the Indian team to dream of a dream team that will be the world champion. (though it is already the world champion). Let’s look at the Indian T20 dream team.
- Gautam Gambhir
This orange cap holder in the IPL is the leading run getter and has crossed 500 runs in the IPL. He is far ahead of the 2nd highest run getter in the IPL i.e. Virendra Sehwag. He was a part of the world champion team and still deserves that place.
- Virendra Sehwag
This man from Delhi is made for T20 matches and he has proved it in the IPL. He is the 2nd highest run getter in the IPL. When this storm gets going, there is nothing that can stop him. No bowler dares to challenge him. Beat him on a ball and see the next ball go for a huge six. He is suitably placed in the Indian team to assist Gautam Gambhir in opening the Indian Innings.
- Rohit Sharma
This Mumbai lad is a very good batsman and a lightning fast fielder and there is no reason for him to be left out of the squad. Though he was in the team that is in the bottom of the Points table in the IPL, he was amongst the highest run getter’s in the IPL.
- Yuvraj Singh
He hasn’t shown his talent in the IPL, but the 2007 T20 world cup matches showed what he is capable of doing. He has the potential to destroy any bowling attack on his day. The six sixes in the T20 world cup are still fresh in the minds of one and all. Though he faces very tough competition, he has done enough in the past to maintain a place in the team.
- Mahendra Singh Dhoni
He is a man who seems to have a golden touch. Be it a world cup, IPL or a normal match, his mere presence in the team sees the team play like a unit. This man, as a keeper, too is amongst the best in the world. His batting, too, is a great morale to the team. He can score runs very quickly when the need arises. His 183 runs in a match against Sri Lanka showed what he is capable of.
- Yusuf Pathan
This man has a lot of talent, but he has not got the share he deserves. He was not given many chances. (Though he is the only person in the world to debut in a World Cup Final match) He got a chance to show his talent with the IPL and he has been very successful till now. He has the bowling capacity, too.
- Irfan Pathan
He was expected to be the most expensive bowler in the T20 format due to his speed or the lack of it. But this man has not only been less expensive, but he has taken many wickets at regular interval for the Punjab Kings XI.
Apart from this, he has also shown up as a good batsman and is one of the highest run getter’s for Punjab and has single handedly taken a match from the opponents.
- RP Singh
The highest wicket taker in the IPL and one of the leading wicket takers in the T20 world cup, RP Singh has shown one and all that he has the metal to play in the T20 format because the ipl 2020 schedule pdf download has been given to all the cricket fans for free this time and the company is also offering bulk discount for pre booking of match tickets which is only valid for limited people which can be booked online . RP Singh has now shaped himself as the spearhead of the Indian T20 team. He has a great control on his line and length as well as his swing.
- S Sreesanth
This boy is a double edged sword. If he fires, the opponent backs off as he breaks their bones (and wicket). But if he doesn’t, he is very expensive.
- Zaheer Khan
Once the spearhead of the Indian Cricket team, Zaheer Khan lost his zing and had to be out of the team for a long time. Now back in the team, he has got his zing back and is now on his way to becoming the spearhead of the Indian team once again.
- Piyush Chawla
He is one of the best spinners in India at this time and he deserves his place in the T20 team.
